The Venue for carols in the city is at Brisbane's  Botanical Gardens Brisbane River Stage (Behind QUT) Brisbane's Botanical Gardens central location makes it easily accessible by train, bus, car or on foot. However public transport is the best option for attending the carols event.   River Stage Ideally located in a two-hectare site within the City Botanic Gardens, Brisbane, River Stage is the perfect venue for live outdoor entertainment. Getting there by bus, train or ferry There is limited parking available in nearby streets. You may be able to pay and park in one of the high-rise Car Parks in the City. We recommend you use public transport. There are several options. Ferry to QUT Gardens Point. Walk along the path beside the river which brings you to a roundabout next to the entry to the Goodwill Bridge.  River Stage is right in front of you. Takes approx 10 mins. Last Ferry Up river to Qld Uni leaves QUT Gardens Point at 11.15pm. Last Ferry Down river to Brett’s Wharf leaves QUT Gardens Point at 10.59pm. Park at Southbank and walk across the Goodwill Bridge. This option may particularly suit those who live on the southside. There is a Loop Bus which operates in both directions around the City Centre. This is a free service, operating at 10 min intervals during the day, until approx 5.45pm. The bus stops on this route have distinctive red signposts. Train to Central Station, then catch the (Free) Loop Bus in Ann Street opposite the Station and get off in Margaret Street, just after the bus crosses George Street. Walk from there to the River Stage (about 10 mins). Note that the last bus leaves Central Station at 6.02pm, so this means you will have to walk back to the Station after the event. Passenger Set Down Zones Margaret Street, between William and George Streets. There is a lay-by on the Right hand side. Cars can stop for 2 mins to drop passengers between 5am and 7pm. George Street, between Alice and Margaret Streets. There is a lay-by on the Left hand side, coming Alice St towards George St. Cars can stop for 2 mins to drop passengers between 5am and 7pm.
